We are voluntary social group of professionals and trained young social workers. We work on people based non-profit, non-political grass root development method which involves promotion and strengthening of community through youth. Development in this respect involves community organization process. It involves phenomena like change, movement and growth as we feel to enhance the felt needs at a particular time and place. Hence people based approach regarding the objectives of development plans based on the felt needs of the people. The changing socio-economic condition in the society has always posed a challenge to the non-governmental voluntary sector, keeping in view these changes the society continued to fulfill its responsibilities of strengthening voluntary action for social upliftment and rural development during the year 1986-2008. Ramgajmandi. The project decided to realize the problems of landless working class community who were actually poor as well as illiterate and socially backward as they were not able to make a living by daily wages which was less than the income they were getting. The resources around were so less that they could make their living in time according to their status. So far we have designed some need based projects to stand them on the ground level.

Objective

The basic objective of the programme was to raise the status of women in the family and society by creating awareness and skills among women of low economic and social status.

Strategy

Activities were carried out throughout the year at 27 centers under the component of the programme, which were located in each village. The range of activities at these centers included adult education vocational training, informal counseling and organizing awareness programs for poor women in matters related to raising the status of women and generation of employment income.

The vocational training provided as a part of the programme helped generate employment and income for a large number of women.
